Where the grid ends, EnQuest power begins. On your timeline, on your gas, wherever you operate.
EnQuest engineers and packages mobile and stationary natural gas power generation, battery storage, and field-service Lifecycle Services for mining operations, remote production, off-grid industrial sites, and any operation where grid access isn't an option and a power failure means a full shutdown. We put dependable, emissions-friendly power where the work is, and we keep it running once it's there.
The constraint that defines remote operations
A remote site has no utility to call. There's no interconnection to wait on, because there's no grid to connect to. Power has to be generated on location, reliably, in conditions that don't forgive equipment failure, and far enough from a service center that a breakdown isn't a quick fix.
The default answer has been diesel, and diesel brings its own problems: continuous fuel trucking, on-site storage and spill risk, commodity price exposure with no hedge, and the HSE liability of constant truck traffic on remote access roads. For operators under investor and regulatory scrutiny on emissions, diesel is also an ESG problem that follows them into every reporting cycle.
How EnQuest powers remote operations
Mobile natural gas power generation. 2 MW to 25+ MW, operational in under four hours, repositionable as the operation moves. Runs on field gas where available, turning a flaring liability into a fuel source and a structural cost advantage. Multi-unit daisy-chain with black start brings power up from zero at sites with no grid reference.
Battery energy storage. Paired with natural gas generation for hybrid power, peak shaving, and load firming, reducing fuel burn and runtime on the gensets while improving reliability.
Field-service Lifecycle Services. When a unit goes down at a remote site, EnQuest dispatches technicians to the equipment rather than the equipment to a shop, and they already know the units because we built them. For an operation where a power failure stops everything, that response capability is the difference between a service call and a shutdown.
Eliminate the diesel logistics problem
Switching from diesel to natural gas generation removes the fuel-trucking burden, the storage and spill risk, the supply-chain exposure, and the HSE liability of diesel traffic on remote roads, all at once. And it's a documentable, quantifiable emissions improvement that holds up in an ESG report, not a vague claim.
For sites with field gas, the economics are even stronger: the fuel you would otherwise flare becomes the fuel that runs your operation.
Engineered for the hardest conditions
Remote and off-grid sites are where engineering rigor shows. EnQuest's battery storage work includes a hurricane-resistant microgrid validated to withstand 165 mph winds, and our power packages are built and tested in-house under an ISO 9001:2015 quality system before they ship. When the requirement is to perform in conditions that punish weak equipment, the engineering is the difference.
